We all have difficulties in our lives, whether it’s a current specific difficult circumstance, feeling stressed, low, anxious or depressed, experiencing relationship difficulties, bereavement, experiencing or being affected by a traumatic event, or simply feeling that something just doesn’t feel quite right and needs to change.
Psychotherapy involves providing a safe, supportive and confidential space which allows people to be open to exploring, working through and making sense of matters which are troubling them, their relationships and how they feel about themselves, who they are and where they fit in.
My approach involves us working together to understand the relationship between your early experiences and current problems. I will endeavour to help you explore and gain a clearer understanding of yourself and your feelings, to facilitate growth, change and strength in your self-awareness and self-esteem, with the aim of bringing a sense of meaning and contentment in all areas of your life.
Such self-exploration can be daunting, painful and challenging, but can also be an enormous source of relief, generating greater emotional autonomy and strength in one’s life and relationships.
